Servicing municipal and agricultural interests in Charleston, SC metro area, this anaerobic digestion facility aids in the disposal of wastewater residuals, food processing wastes and the byproducts of local food service businesses.

These organic wastes are used as feedstocks for anaerobic digestion, which produces biogas and, ultimately, 1.6 MW of electricity is fed back into the power grid in partnership with Santee Cooper.
